    [Jamming] Bizhub C458 PC-415 Jam 99-01

I have a machine that keeps jamming intermittenly with jam code 99-01 controller jam paper size error. It's feeding from the PC-415. Copier has around 125,000 total count.

Pickup and feed rollers have been replaced. Service manual doesn't really help. I haven't been able to get it to jam when onsite. customer says it jams when they do 50 plus page copy jobs. I ran 200 and couldn't get it to jam. Jam counter shows several 99-01 jams from tray 3. Any ideas thanks.

If its the one where the tray lifts by the cables then I found that the lift plate doesnt stay flat because the cables pop out from the slots on the front and the back. The bottom wheels slots for the cables have to be covered/blocked so the cables dont pop out when the tray is going up. I used a plastic straw from a solvent can to block the slots. Just give them a bit of a squeeze and push them in. Cut to size too. Its very random as when it jams you pull tha tray and the lift plate looks flat.Take the 2nd tray out and see how it lifts. maybe 20/30 times if its the cables then you will see it.

Try the torque limiter on the double feed roller. Also, check that the rollers aren't breaking loose from the hubs.

Don't forget the door latch hook.

I would check and make sure those feed sensors are not loose. Next clean those clutches behind feed rollers and maybe sand the roller bar.
