    BH-C-3110 dead display

No, I did NOT try to install firmware when this happened.
Went there to just innocently replace a toner bottle. Removed the empty K-Bottle, put a new one in and after starting the machine anew the beast made some rumbles and that was it. Display was unlighted and remained dead. No control panel lights where on

I swear, repeat SWEAR, I did not try to install or refresh the frimwar before this happened. I was not even planning to do so cause the procedure looks rather tricky.

Reinstalling the old toner cartridge did not change the situation. All terminal contacts of all toner units and drum units look OK and are not visible shorted. SSD thingy reseated, removing the mains and firing up the machine results every time in, what sounds as, a calibration sequence but control panel remains without lights and the display is still dead.

    Anyone had this behavior before?

I'm trying to remember the details ... I had one of these die during firmware update. The main controller brought it back. I'm not trying to infer anything. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
