Hi

I have this Develop Ineo+ 224e that have been stuck after we moved it to a new location. First it wanted a serial number. After i did fix that trough the service menu i get "TPM chip has been changed. Initialize TPM settings.". After some reading here i guess the small CMOS battery is dead and after power was off during the move made the printer unusable.

I have change the battery now and from what i can read here on the forum, i need to reset the machine and install a new firmware. But i am a bit stuck at the firmware part. It will take KM Firmware from the Service USB port. But getting the right firmware have grind me to a halt. A guide i have been following mention it have to be the latest GDL for my machine.

Any tips with these battery replacement and FW recovery? With the right firmware i should have enough documentation to complete this repair.

Hello colleague, you need to update the GHV-M1 version to prevent future defects after changing the battery as you mentioned here.
But it's a little hard to get these 2 FW GDL and the GHV by the way.

Have tried to use 2 different methods to recover the machine. Ht first was this Guide1 and the second was almost the same but here the reset tool was used after firmware update. The firmware i am using is A5C10Y0-F000-GDR-M1

When the MFP wants to recover data (Error C-D390) it gets stuck after i press yes. I have tried to let it run for some hrs but nothing changes from recovery animation. When i force reboots when it is stuck, i get another recovery error C-D363. When i press yes it completes with no errors. But then i get back to the "TPM initialization" and no print or scanner options.

I have also tried to check if the HDD is functional and have done a format. I might fear it is the SSD that is faulty, but i hope some here knows whats happens here.

Some people reportet that it might be necessary to rund the reset tool a couple of times. I think we also had one or two cases with faulty SSDs we had to replace but at that time we didn't knew about the "multiple-run" reset tool method.

Is that before or after FW update?. I have done 3 reset before FW update but not multiple resets after a FW update.

I can't tell for shure but I think it was before the update, guess the threads still exists so you might and dig a little. I find it easier to search via google like "tpm error site:copytechnet.com" instead of using the forum search function.

THis is the proper procedure from the tool describtion:

1.Copy "A145FW.tar" in the root folder of USB flash memory.
2.Install the USB flash memory into USB slot for FW download.
3.Turn the main SW ON.
4."Data initialization completed!" is shown.
5.Turn the main SW OFF.
6.Pull the USB flash memory out of MFP
7.Turn the main SW ON.
8.C-D390 is shown on the operation panel, and please wait until "Restore" button is shown
because Auto trouble reset function may perform maximun two times.
9.Touch the "Restore" button to restore the data from SSD board to MFP board.
10.Turn the main SW OFF.

I never succeed with step 9 as it never complete after i press restore. Have let it be for 12hrs but it just keep the load animation.

Sounds totally worth a try before getting a new SSD board in case yours is corrupted beyond repair.

You may have missed one point....

1. RUN MFP Reset tool (VERY important if fitting a used board rather than a battery change.)

2. Don't reboot, instead Insert USB with fresh Firmware.

3. At the Firmware screen BEFORE it starts updating SET THE MACHINE AND TYPE.
(Your Ineo 224 serial should start A5C4 so both should be set to 3)

4. Reboot and hope for correct recovery.

5. If successful you will need to go through a few set up routines like Date/Time else you'll get those Coloured bars of shame!!!

You mean after I get Data initialization Screen, I remove the USB with reset tool and insert my FW USB in the Service USB port?

Not quite... - just don't reboot immediately after the reset tool...


Run the reset - 'Data Ini Completed displayed'

Turn OFF, THEN insert Firmware NOW in order to go straight to update before a boot.

Enter the Machine Type info when the FW screen appears, BEFORE updating starts.

Then do the FW update.

Now you can boot, expect the d390 up to three times, and then recover data.

i have same fault on a C454e

I cant find any reset tool on NTS doesnt something similar exsist for the C454e?
