    If the sensors aren't dirty, check the shutter that covers them, it may not be moving properly resulting in the sensors not being able to see the patches on the transfer belt. The P21 is there because of the P5, so I'd concentrate on the P5 at this point.

    Malfunction type: IDC sensor/Fr failure, IDC sensor/Rr failure
    Malfunction code: P-5, P-28

    Description Timing
    Relevant parts

    Procedure:
    1. Wipe clean the surface of the transfer belt with a soft cloth, if it is dirty.
    2. Change the image transfer belt unit if the transfer belt is damaged.
    3. Reinstall or reconnect IDCS/Fr assy or IDCS/Rr assy, sensor shutter or connector, if it is installed or connected improperly.
    4. Clean IDCS/Fr or IDCS/Rr if it is dirty.
    5. Check the HV connector for proper connection and correct as necessary.
    6. SD2 operation check.
    7. Open/close the front door, run an image stabilization sequence, and select [State Confirmation] -> [Level History 1] to check the IDC value.
    IDC1 = IDCS/Fr
    IDC2 = IDCS/Rr
    If the value is 1.0 V or less, assy.assy or IDCS/change IDCS/Fr Rr
    8. PRCB ICP11 conduction check.
    9. Replace PRCB.

        Did you replace it with another one?

            I did it without removing the drive unit. I have had tested in my factory at the donor machine:
            Disconnect the wire from FRB. Losen 4 screws from sync unit. Lift the right (backside) lower edge from sync unit ower the drive shaft with gear. And than the rest right lower edge over the drive shaft. Sensor assy is open for remove.
            More important: reinstallation
            Pick the wire through the whole in the frame. Place left upper edge - at last turn dirve gear in the clutch gear untill it takes the sync unit on it's correct place. If everything is carefully done, nothing would be damaged.
