    C258 Memory Upgrade

    Anyone know what kind of SODIMM the C258 series takes? I don't fancy spending silly money on a UK-211 when all it is is laptop memory.

      Any particular reason you want to upgrade memory? The additional memory is only used with the LK kits, and since it looks like you want to do this yourself, unplug it, pull the back off, and get the specs for the currently installed chip. E

          we got lk114 and the current ram is embedded

              I know the 2GB DDR3 type Ricoh "leftover DIMMs" for the MPC3004 are working fine in the 8 series.

              Probably any 2GB nonECC 204pin S0DIMM should work. Go for the 1600mhz capable ones to be shure and buy one sample for testing before placing a big order.

                          unfortunately not but thanks mate that would have been great. Hopefully i've ordered the right stuff off amazon got some ddr3 sodimm to try
