    Konica 3320i Used CPU

Good Morning to all the Technicians and engineers. Here one more time seeking your advice with this 3320i machine, machine every morning wont wake up, has to be turn off then on again to wake up, I had check in the log for errors and I found error code 5372, the Manual states that is CPU temperature failure, so I had remove the CPU from another machine as I had done many times with the big iseries models( 250i-300i-360i) but when I have installed the CPU with the micro sd from the own machine give me a error code C-D072, ( An erase error or other device fault occours during mechanical controller flash ROM writing.) Has any one used a CPU that was installed in other machine with out getting this error, or any one has any advice when it comes to use these used CPU in this small machines.

Check the fan on the CPU board. We've had a number of these smaller models that either had fans that died, or fans that were excessively noisy. Since the fan isn't available as a stand alone part, we've been stealing the fans off of some of our older model parts copiers that have fans the same size. The plugs are different, so it requires cutting and splicing the correct plug onto the fan, but so far it has resolved a couple of noisy fans and 2 machines that were giving the CPU temp service code.

Since you have another CPU board available to you, pull the fan off the one you were trying to fit in the 3320i and mount it to the original CPU board and see if that resolves the problems you are having, at least with the temp code. The fan connectors will be the same, so as a temporary test, it won't require much effort to do.
