I have a customer who has a Ricoh 2090 copier with about 1.5 million on it and I have an chance to purchase a BizPro 920 to do a machine swap with.

This unit (BizPro 920) has about 2 million on it with about the same features. I was wanting to know if the BizPro 920 is a good unit and if it's any better than what they have now. Thanks

First question is what type issues do they have with the 2090?

Secondly, IMHO the 2090 is a fabulous machine. I have several pushing the 5 mil mark with barely any issues.

I have experience on both these units and it's the Bizhub 920 everyday of the week for me.You only have to pull out the ADU of both machines to see the difference in build Quality(920 is steel plates and motors whereas ricoh is plastic guides and penny clutches!)also machine life of the 920 is approx double that of the Ricoh...Si

Hi I have worked with both machine and they are great. My personall vote would be for B920 as it can with stand volume and the developer and drum life is great and value for money.

The 920 wins without a doubt. 1.2M copies is NOTHING for a 920. We have have customers who put 2M on a year. If they are maintained they will run for approx 10 years under heavy usage.

If you only have 1.2M over 5 years, then the machine is overkill unless you really need the speed.
