I have looked into the machine error report and it looks like this is the bypass feeder ascend/decend error. How can I clear this? I did the TROUBLE RESET procedure but it did not clear. Can I turn off the bypass until I can have it fixed properly?

You cannot isolate the bypass tray, here are the steps for fixing this though.

C0211 code.
Solution:
CAUSE: The drive gears in the manual bypass are not rotating.

SOLUTION: To verify if the drive gears are rotating in the manual bypass
tray, perform the following procedure:
1. Remove the manual bypass cover (p/n 4036 3856 02).
2. Manually rotate the white drive gear on the left side (p/n 4131 3004
02).
3. If the gear rotates freely, it is possible the frame holding the drive
gears is deformed. The gears should not rotate freely and should be locked
in place.
4. Replace the frame (p/n 4036 0240 02) if necessary.

I have heard that bypass problems are common on this MFP.

I have removed the cover and while looking at the gears, opened and closed the front door to reset. It starts to, and with two clicks of the small silver tab servo, it fails again. Same error. So I got to looking at the actuator that make the paper lift go up and down and it was 180 degrees out of set. I manually turned it to the proper location and it starts up fine.
