bizhub 7145 Strange Image Problem

Getting a white area on the page. Op side of page as it exits. Pull DV unit out and we notice that the DV is light or missing on the area in question and the defect is the same as the DV roller, therefore obviously the DV roller, BUT, when we turn the DV by hand it coats even and fine. Put back into machine and get same result! What is causing the DV to move from that area of the roller only when installed?

Just a guess, but possible that the magnet in the roller broke, and when spinning by hand not getting enough rpms's to notice defect.

Could be clumps in your developer. Inspect developer and replace if at all clumpy. Have seen this quite a few times.

RRogers may be right.
Also check do you have good bias in the roller.
Measure resistance between bias plate and magnet roller to see.
If it's more than 20 Om you need to change the bearing of the mag roller or to adapt a spring between bias plate and roller axis.
It is by the way good solution to stop the developer leak of this machines.
