    Konica 7228 copier

Anyone ever have one of these models turn off/on by itself? We've tried firmware update, no joy. We're thinking of replacing the operation panel next. Let me know if you have had this problem and what the fix was. Thanks.

Copier turns off/on while the customer is using it to make copies. I should have mentioned this. Thanks for the input.

well then. make sure firmware is up to latest levels.
connect your meter to the wall outlet and watch it while copies are being made. does the voltage drop any at anytime?

            PSU

Possibly a Power Supply issue. Does it turn back on right after the power goes off? If so, the main control board could be losing it's power to operate. Like the other suggestions; check the power into the copier from the wall and monitor the power while in usage. If the power is okay, then look at causes of PSU, wiring to MCB from PSU or some load on the system while copying... Does it only happen when finishing?, Duplexing, etc.

Tech informed me that mgmt list shows 8023 (yes, eight thousand twenty three) E89-80 error codes. We will be replacing the SCB.
