Konica c650 power?

    Konica c650 power?

    Have a C650 (with a FS608 finisher) arriving on location by Tuesday with no accessible 220 electrical line.

    Browsing through the Service Manual, it appears that these 650's have a variety of power requirements:
    "AC 100 V, 120 V, 127 V, 220-240 V"

    Does anyone know how to look up the specs via serial number?
    Serial is: A00H010000841

    Would like to be able to plug and play when it arrives (running a 220 is not exactly free though).

      where in the world are you and where is the machine coming from ?

      you cannot just plug it in and see, as the main power supply, tray heater power supply, fusing unit & IH power supply are voltage specific, the machines are not universal and are designated for certain voltage regions only.

          A00H-010 machines are region G2, which is central south America, 120V 60Hz AND region B. USA & Canada, 120V 60Hz.

          The machine you've purchased requires 120V 60Hz. So if you live in the USA your fine.

          Central south america is interesting in that they have 120V 60Hz & 240V 50/60Hz regions. Most of us take for granted the fact that we can just plug things in and be sure of it working correctly, life must be interesting there...

              PerthKMTech is exactly right.

              In the US the Konica Minolta C650 will run at 120V 16A (requiring a 20A service) only.
              220-240v is more common in Europe.
              And I believe Japan uses 100v.

              It depends where you're the machine was manufactured to be used, as to what voltage the machine will run at. =^..^=
              If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                  Thank you, and I apologize for not specifying the region.
                  (I am in the US, for financial reasons, decisions are made to not run 220/240 lines. I would imagine the same would apply universally.) My employer requested clarification and I simply didn't have a realistic answer.

                  The time and money for adverting unnecessary costs will surely make everyone happy.

                  P.S. If a similar case arises and in the rare case there is an exception (per blackcat486), what was the method for referencing the power requirements? (obviously the serial, but where/how?

                      On the last page the specifications are listed, including power requirements. =^..^=
                      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.

                      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

                              The destinations sheet in the parts manual lists the voltage regions and serial number prefix cross reference.

                                  Don't forget: even though this machine is 120v, it does have a different (20a) plug. IIRC, one of the prongs is rotated horizontally and will require a special outlet to be installed. If you are looking at a wall socket, the left prong must have a horizontal opening rather than the normal vertical opening. Something like in this pic:

                                              C650 is a finicky - you still need to have a dedicated 20amp 120 outlet.

                                              if you put the C650 on the same line as a fridge or another high amp draw item and you can expect expensive repairs.


                                              spend the $150 and get a dedicated line (one outlet to one 20amp breaker). adapters save you money upfront, but in the long run it will cost you more. i have seen image issues because of non-dedicated outlets.

                                              the way the voltage is applied to the drums if the amps/volts are not constantly available you will have image issues if not worse.
