konica c20 add toner

purchased a used c20 that said it was low on black toner. we did a refill and changed chip and was able to make 10 copies and then it quit and said add black toner again. bought a konica black toner installed it got 10 copies and again its asking to replace black toner. omly c20 we have so not real familiar with machine. thanks

Pull the toner out switch machine off then on then try reinstall when asked.

Sounds like the drum unit was depleted of toner . You will have to put in new drum and new toner at same time.

i installed new konica imaging unit and a new compatible toner got 10 copies then said it was out of toner again. have tried several toners and imaging units with same result

The toner entering port of the drum unit may be blocked cause the shutter does not open and/or the toner inside that port is hardened. Unfortunately as soon as the $#& machine believes that the toner cartridge is empty it writes this in the eprom of the toner cartridge blocking future use.

You might try to get a single chip for the toner cartridge to get around this situation.
