Two Thin Black lines on IKON 550/KM5500

I have two fine black lines in my pages on my IKON 550. Sometimes they don't show, but came back now.
They are on the operator side.
But they are on both sides, even though I print single side.
First line thinner, about .25pt, almost 1/8" from the edge.
Second one, about .5pt, is about 1 1/4" from the first line.
My understanding is, it is coming from the rollers than the imaging units. (as they are on both sides).
Is it spilled toner? dirty rollers?
    Where do I look?

    I appreciate your help

    Thanks

Do these lines appear on prints or just copies? How about scans?

Have you determined yet whether your lines are caused by the print engine or the scanner? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Thanks for the replies.
So far, I saw them on Prints. I didn't check the copier/Scans.
Here I have the pics. Top one is the front page where you can see the lines. Bottom one is the back page, density of the lines are hard to see, So I put the oval rounds where they are.

        Hope it helps to pinpoint

You're right. I can't make anything of the scans.

But if it's mainly affecting prints, most likely you'll need a drum unit. Have you called your tech yet? =^..^=

Techs know better. But why do I have them on both sides if it is from the drum? Because my prints are one sided, not duplexed.

i am confused are you printing blank pages?

Do you know how to get into tech mode and print some test pages?

If you think its black drum, swap with yellow drum...

              see if it goes away.

also it will help to see some prints, even just some business color ( as long as there are some descend coverage).

Are you using DU-102C or DU-104?

              thanks,

Re: Two Thin Black lines on IKON 550/KM5500

The reason that you can get lines on both sides of the page is:

The actual source of rotational lines is a groove worn in the drum that the cleaning blade cannot remove the toner from. Since the drum rotates the entire time the the machine is running, that groove of toner is being transferred to the transfer roller/belt, at the backside of the image. When the paper comes by to transfer the image, you get a line from the drum itself on the front, and a line on the backside from the built up toner on the transfer roller/belt.

                Voila!

You'll have to explain the part about "techs knowing better". =^..^=
