yes, you can and it works.

the difference is the polygon motor is not rated for the higher RPM.

it may work for a while or it may work forever, only time will tell. I have only done it temporarily with spare used ones till the correct new ones came into stock.

Good info. The engine speed should be the same on the 2 machines the time between paper feeds would be different. "Marketing bulshit"

paper movement speed is actually faster not just a lesser gap between pages.

I seem to recall the c353 also has more cooling fans than the slower versions too.

but in reality theres bugger all cost difference between manufacturing the slower machine compared to the faster one in the same engine type, it is just marketing bs.

I know for a fact some cunning individuals have converted c203/c253 to operate as a c353 too.

You can put a C353 PH in a C203/253 but the other way round i cant seem to get it too work due to the polygon motor speed.

Just a note on this thread. Be careful ordering boards. I ordered the MFP to troubleshoot what turned out to be a bad laser in a new set and accidentally ordered a 353 mfp for my 253. Machine boots to hourglass forever. Won't make that mistake again.

In the end it was a faulty laser causing a "warming up" message then intermittently a laser code.

                    Hi all

We have a C200 showing C4153 (Y Laser issue). Can we use the lasers from a C203/C253/C353 to replace this faulty one?

                    Thanks

                    James
