Canon IR 2630i no start, no display

    Hello,
I have 2x Canon IR 2630i copiers and one of them has died couple of days ago.
When I press the power button the display lights up and shows the progress bar for 2 seconds ... than it goes black and it stays like this while the rest of the machine keeps on initializing.
The machine never showed any error messages or anything similar.
Is there anything I can try on this? I have contacted Canon but it seems to take a while before they do anything!

    Thank you!

I would start by updating the firmware if that fails you could have a failed main board.

Turn the machine on while holding down 2 & 8 keys, does the device display 'download mode?'

This is where it goes after pressing 2&8 keys at startup. What else can i check at this stage?

I am not sure what you mean!?

Here Canon service is not really dependable, they offered to do some replacements at my own costs and on my own risk, they cant guarantee that is either that part or other part ... just trail and error ... from my pocket and not returnable parts.

So if you are kind enogh to be more explanatory I would be grateful!

It looks like you need to contact a local supplier or technician to see what problems your machine has first, looking at your problems there may be several possibilities.

I have contacted them already but they dont really seem sure what it needs to be done. They just want to poke around for different parts and i just pay.
They dont seem to be able to diagnose what is bad .. they just want to try out parts.
At this state(USB Connect menu) is it possible to tray a reflash of firmware? Because Canon Tech didn't even mention anythings bout this!

It could be like that, because your machine doesn't display an error code. there is still a lot that needs to be tested. can be mainboard, power supply, hard disk and others

Could you help me identify main suspects on this machine?
                            My gues is
                            1 - power supply?
                            2- high voltage board
                            3 - main voltage?

I forgot to add that I have 2machine IR 2630i and I could try parts swap to identify the bad one.
Logic tell me to start with power supply as if this i the culprit could damage the replacement main board?

Could you please confirm 1 is power supply please?
                            Thank you!

Ok, found out power supply is on the side.
I have replaced it with the one is working on the other machine and the behaviour stays the same ... so its not the PSU at fault.

What could be the next suspect?
