RP units are Old and a technical nightmare. I hope you did not spend too much or can get your money back, T07-001 is a communication error with the digitizer CPU.
After some research, I THINK, that the digitizer is an editor on top of the scanner cover. Try unplugging it from the machine. It's possible that it is unplugged and that's causing the error. It's been years since seeing one of those machines. Did you see the RISO working in person before buying it? If so then something happened in transport.
