In my university, there are a number of color and bw laser printers of various manufacturers. I notice that the blacks of the monochrome printers are always deeper than than the blacks of the color printers. Until now, I have assumed that it is not to overwhelm the colors in the case of a photographic print. I'm interested in buying a color laser printer if I can set it up to print with deep blacks.
To solve this problem, can you say whether it's a case of changing the toner of the cartridge to one that is darker, or are other factors more important?
