    C7000 with magenta covered prints

I'm working on a c7000. It keeps giving c2452 when starting up. I've replaced magenta developer, swapped magenta drum and charge unit, customer also had another used magenta developer unit in a box (condition unknown) and still giving the same error. I put it in service mode and managed to run test chart 80, Attached is what I got with both developer units. I tried to run the magenta toner out of it but it just gets to the point it asks for toner.

Any ideas what I can try?

    Thank you

push Magenta corona in all the way or replace. that's what happens when no corona is installed.

We once had this on a c5501, except it was cyan that covered everything.
In our case replacing the drum unit sorted the issue, however from your post you appear to have already done this.

Check and see if you have the old style Fiery cable. There is a bulletin about the cables causing erratic imagining. If you can run a internal test page without the magenta background it's likely the cable. I had a C6000 do it with a solid yellow background.

Here is the bulletin. The new style cable has a metallic end and the old style is all gray plastic.

Please check your corotron, this could be happen if is burned or not present.
Try changing the corotron from other color, and check again if happens with that color.

              Keep us up to date.
              Cheers.
