No you don't understand: I have a couple techs at the company I work for who I trust them to do exactly that. I just need to know how it happens before it happens....

I trust them to click on the change ce password button, type some stuff in, somehow get it right and forget what they typed in 5 minutes after.
I need to know if there are anyother ways to forget those logins

The default CE password should only be changed for a few reasons..

1. Customer request for their security needs. This new password should not be shared with any support staff, and the customer must be OK with any additional charges that may be incurred (labor, parts) if the password is lost.
2. Your shop has a policy to shorten the CE password to allow easier access when offering remote support.
3. Your shop has a policy to change the password, and it is well documented and no tech will use the wrong password

IMHO The CE password should only be disabled if not needed. This falls into the bucket with Bizhub Secure. Technically, the customer should be providing the passphrase they want to use to protect their data. If you are using a generic one and you use it on everything, then how can you guaranty any level of HDD data protection. This stuff falls on deaf ears for the most part, but the 1st time someone loses HIPPA data and the company comes back and says "exactly how did you configure my machine to prevent data loss", and you say, the way you can find it on Google same as everyone else the shit will be hitting the fan.

Well we once had a tryout (For our germans: Praktikant) who was not able to use the correct screws on th Backside of the machine where themotors are located. Then he complained to us that konica gave us the wrong screws.

You see why i trust some few people in my company to achieve this?

Well we ofcourse do have some good techs. I dont want to rant too much about my other colleagues.
