Does it have the Extended USB card installed? If so, I found the following in the Cxx04 manual.
Before installing this option, disable (Set to 0: OFF) the STR shift function by SP5-191-001 (Power Str Set). If installing without disable the STR shift function, SC672-00/ SC672-11 may occur.

        Huh???
F/W update is done using the sd card spot on the side of the machine as it always has been

As rule of thumb try & update the firmware via SD card, if the machine won't accept this & throws SC672 then you need to replace the controller board.

If however the firmware updates successfully this may resolve the error.

Most likely, this is used for writing factory firmware / configuration.

The operations panel firmware is updated if you use the package, or can be done separately using CheetahSystem on an SD card, placed in the side slot of the operations panel.
You will need to enter the Android recovery screen to perform this update.

It has only card reader installed but nothing more.

I might check that out, thanks.
