Ricoh Pro 8310s Transfer belt replacement

Bought 2 of these with under 500k and now 1 has over 1.5k and is time to replace a transfer belt. Have manual and started but my 2 machines the centering tool
is missing from both. Manual shows them in cover of transfer unit. Anyone have a set for me to Buy. Don't see it as a part to order. I assume it cannot be done without them.

    Any help would be appreciated.

More than likely the original delivering dealer's tech put them in his tool kit. Check the installation portion of the manual. Bet it tells you to remove them from the accessories box and put store them in the transfer unit cover. Unless they made some major changes from the 8210s the jigs are most likely the same. Part numbers for the 8210 are the same as the 8110. Part numbers should be listed listed in the Product Support Manual or at least they are for the 8110 and 8210. 8110 PSG shows them as Unique while 8210 shows them as Common.

D1796192 ITB Positioning Jig (Belt Cleaning Side)
In a pinch you can get by without them. Measure the distance from the belt to the frame at each end before disassembling. Make some spacer blocks to the same size. The only advantage of the jigs vs field expedients is that the jigs are less apt to fall out of place. I used a pair of tool handles.

Easier way is just to lay the belt unit down and slide the belt equidistant to the edges of the rollers, then install the tension roller. The belt centre mechanism will take care of the rest itself.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

You don't have to replace the belt just because it's due, I have many that have over 8 million clicks on them. What does need to be replaced are the transfer roller D0BX6051 and the opposed roller D0BX6078, either one can cause white spots.

But was it physically damaged? Either way you need to determine why it walked.

Check for uneven premature wear of the ITB cleaner lube bar. Also make sure the machine is level. Try to put the levelers down as evenly as possible so as to not twist the machine frame.
