Ricoh IMC 2500 Mac lock printing /defaults/presets

    Ricoh IMC 2500 Mac lock printing /defaults/presets

    Afternoon all

    I have a issue on mac OS Sonoma when saving Presets for printing it always defaults back to original preferences when closing and opening any application
    even the preset that have been saved defaults back without changing anything (presets default back ) i have tried installing separate printing drivers and setting there defaults
    to the clients wants A4 - B\W queue and a A4 Color Queue but when selecting between the two queues the default to original settings the device does have PS3 kit installed and firmware is up to date on the printer anyone else have this issue before ?

      Well, I have the same problem with a client but with some Brother machines and I was not able to find how to load some paper settings as default so the client has to change it every time since they use special paper. At Ricoh I have not been given the case yet. But it would be good to know if it can be done and how.

          I don't know if it works on Mac as well as on Windows(?)
          usually when I create customized settings (e.g. color vs b/w) I create a separate printer, which the customer chooses on-demand, if the driver settings are changed during printing, they then return to default, however if they change in the printer control panel, they remain stored...but this seems too easy to me, I probably misunderstood your request(?)

              You aren't by chance using Apple's POS Generic PCL? Or maybe depending on Ricoh's PDF Direct PostScript emulator? Either way you will need to install the PS3 option.

                  Hi All

                  PS3 Is installed and still unable to setup the presets I have tried the setteing up diffrent queue's (drivers) for difrent defaults but it always defaults back to colour and not Black and white
                  I am using the latest driver from Ricoh but still doesnt fix the issue .

                      If CUPS is still available (I believe it will soon be deprecated), you can set the printer's default settings by navigating to http://localhost:631/printers
