[Error Code] Papercut Removal - SC637-01

    Hello !

When I removed Papercut from every Ricoh machine, I encountered the following issues:

    1. The machine slowed down significantly.
    2. I received error messages.
    3. I was unable to log in for up to 15 minutes.
    4. When I tried to print, I got the error code SC637-01.

To resolve these issues, I attempted to clean the VRAM. However, the hardware department advised against doing this as it may delete the machine's parameters and cause further problems.

    Any advice/help ?

    Just do a system rebuild.

      Please update:

      1) Which device are your referring to,
      2) Have you checked the application removal in the WIM,
      3) Would you want the Papercut to reinstalled to connect to the papercut server.

you could try and disable the java in the SP mode.

      I hope it helps.

From the description of the fault, I am assuming you are using the SmartSDK version of the PaperCut embedded.

Blunt answer, follow the instructions to install PaperCut from the embedded manual Chapter 7.1.1 or 7.1.2 depending if you are doing it with the RoC tool or manually.

But the main step you are missing is changing the SP mode settings:

        Code:
Set the Access Control > SDK Certification Device > bit 0 to 0.
Set the MF KeyCard > Job Permit Setting to 0
If PaperCut is the older embedded running on the controller. e.g. SDK/J then the main thing would be to ensure
        Code:
Set the Optional Counter Type > External Optional Counter Type to 0.

                Try this solution.

                User Tools > System Settings:

                1. Login to User and Authentication Management > set to "OFF"
                2. Machine action when limit is reached > set to "Allow Continue Use"
                3. Enhanced Print Volume Use Limitation > Tracking Permission & Stop Printing > set to "OFF"
                4. Auto Delete User in Address Book > set to "OFF"
                5. SP-5-401-230 > set to Initial (00H)

No problem, we had the same issue just a few weeks ago so I kept notes for future reference!
