    SC-142-12

i have this code on im2000 to im7000 typically i swap the scanner or l unplug all night. i also see it on the imc color copiers, but most of the time it shows background, i can do a 5610-4 and 5801-8 and do color calibration to clear. i had an imc8000 that i had to leave unplugged over night as well. almost always happens with generator test or power failure. any ideas

I think you will have already cleaned the entire optical section, update the firmware. Have you seen the other SC codes in history?

I carry 2 scanners to swap out on smaller boxes, the big boxes I have to leave unplugged overnight. This is a known issue. Telling customers to turn off their copier and unplug overnight isn't always received well. I was asking if anyone on here has delt wit this issue and figured out a real answer to the problem. I think it's in the power supply. It happens with power failures and when generators are tested, but doesn't happen everytime
