    MXFN11 Stapling Issues

    Hello Everyone,

I have a MXFN11 attached to a MXM565 that is having vertical alignment issues on finisher output and it won't staple properly. Please see attached image

It seems to be some type collating alignment issue.. Now here is the weird part If I rotate paper to letter r (short edge) then stapling works fine, however on ledger or standard letter (longer edge) nothing aligns and it is erratic. The staple will sometimes almost miss the sheet of paper completely, other times it works fine. It is intermittent.

    - Paper Pass Unit Rebuilt - I had some missing retention rollers in the paper pass unit. I rebuilt that unit completely so it is in like new condition.

To me it looks like it isn't collating properly. Anyone seen this and know what to fix it? I'm not a finisher expert.

FYI: If I turn off collating though it still is doing it...

    thanks!

    Re: MXFN11 Stapling Issues

For all those interested I was able to solve this issue

The cause was broken staples caught in the the track for the front alignment motor arm

    Resolution:
    - Pulled apart finisher, cleaned out all debris ran simulation 3:3 to test FFJM and no more stuttering, free movement
    - I also adjusted sim 3:10 changed (staples rear) to a value of 94 from 100, this moves the staple away from the top edge of the sheet

    Working...
