Staple, Staple, MISS! & so on...

Currently, I'm working on a Sharp MX-M464, that has an internal MX-FN17 finisher. I have been tinkering with the "after process settings/adjustments" & also have completely disassembled the finisher, replacing various rollers, & double checking all functions. My problem is, stapling! I will get two pages stapled correctly, and then the next will miss a page, then continue stapling. This same cycle seems to repeat despite all my efforts.

Has anyone else come across this type of issue? And if so, point my in the right direction.

    Much appreciated,
    Taylor.

That sounds like a similar issue that the FN9 has when the 2 belts and rollers inside, and 2 exit rollers, are worn.
I believe these will use the same belts/rollers.
Not easy in the customers office. Those 2 little c-clips love to fly off to never be seen again.
    Good luck.

Take a pic as there are a lot of parts to remove and reassemble. I use hemos so those little grey c clips don't leave the planet on me! Capture.jpg

Yep, definitely belts, rollers, but especially the belts. I still find that style of inner finisher SIGNIFICANTLY easier to work on than the MXFN27/BPFN11s.
Two sets of rollers as you need the return rollers that are towards the exit as well.
