    Toshiba Developer

I had a few of my suppliers tell me that the developer (D-2320 and D4530) will no longer be available. Has anyone else had a problem getting these products? If so, what can be a substitute? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance

    Re: Toshiba Developer

For the D4530 you can substitute D-5070 (6LK28272000). It's the developer for the 7 series, 08 series, and 18 series. We have had no issues with substituting either way.

Sadly, you're out of luck with the D-2320. It's just too old. Those machines all got replaced when the developer unit seized or the developer wore out. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks for the reply. The D5070 developer worked fine as a replacement. Wondering if it would work for the D2320. Some of our customers hold on to thier copies forever.

I doubt it. The particle size is considerably larger on the D2320. The worst thing that can happen is that it will dump developer all over your machine, maybe immediately, maybe later, maybe never. The gram weight is the same for both packages.

Give it a try. Let us know the results. =^..^=

Also you have to be sure to put the same amount in as the original developer. the replacement developer may have more or less in bottle.
