eStudio 5540 slg board replacement issues

Ok so I have an issue with my eStudio 5540-c.

It gave me an error code f-110.

So I replaced the slg board with one I found for sale. Now here is my problem..
    1. I found the same board by part number but didn't realize the part number had a different letter at the very end of it.
    Original- Toshiba PWB-H-SLG-130P w/label on chip t130s
    Replacement- Toshiba PWB-H-SLG-130N w/label on chip t140s

    2. So I replaced the board with the one I purchased. Updated my firmware with USB to the original firmware. Once I restarted the system. The screen won't go past the startup screen that says it is checking the system...

    3. I believe I need the firmware for slg-T140s. I have firmware for t130s.

Does anyone know if I can even use this new part or am I doomed to go find another one?

Thanks for everyone's help on this form!

Re: eStudio 5540 slg board replacement issues

    According to RIBON,
In the US for eS5540C, ASSY-PWA-SLG-130S has (3) revisions:
    earliest: 6LJ09480000
    next: 6LJ09898000
    most recent: 6LJ09950000

It's possible that those boards are intended for some other region?
Sorry, I didn't notice where you were from. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I should of made note that I am in the United States.

But to assist in the fixing of this... So the difference in the boards were with the p/n of the boards.
      Pwb-h-slg-130P---original
      Pwb-h-slg-130N---replacement

I noticed the replacement board has T140s as a sticker over one of its components. Where the original has T130s over the same component.

And the firmware on the machine is 4.1.2.2.
      Firmware updated is for T130slgww.07

You are looking up the wrong board. It is the scanner board that I had posted the model number of. Can you see what it says about the pwb-h-slg-130p & 130n boards. Can I just swap those chips over to the other board and have it work proper? I'd have to do some fine chip reworking. Or could you send me the link with this information?

        Thanks for the help!

Re: eStudio 5540 slg board replacement issues

I honestly don't know what part you're holding. PWB-H-SLG-130P & PWB-H-SLG-130N are not listed in any manual, anywhere. It may be printed on your board, but there is no reference to it anywhere else.

And there is only one SLG board on the machine, and yes, it's in the scanner. My recommendation is to use one of those part numbers that I provided and buy from a reputable dealer, rather than taking your chances on a part from an unknown source.

I suspect that moving chips from one board to another will be an excellent opportunity to practice your precision soldering skills, but is very unlikely to produce a working board. Board repair services like Hytec, initialize the board after repair, and reload software (neither of which you can do). Speaking of Hytec, can they repair your board (the correct one)? =^..^=

Yes this is true. I am looking at the part number located on the board. When I was going thru the service manual they used different names for this board. So my mistake. I just went to the wiring diagram and see that your part number is the one that is listed.

Is there any information on using the test points on the slg board to test the values? And I will be looking into that repair company you mentioned.

            Thanks

              Sorry, no test procedures. =^..^=
