    C5055 reset PM and 00F6

    I reset all of the counters under the 6-start menu but the time for maintenance and the 00F6 code are still there. The unit is up and running just not sure how to clear those messages.

      Just out of curiosity, did you do any actual maintenance, or just reset counters? =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Just reset the counters. Chargeable call. The machine is not worthy dumping $1000.00 worth of parts into

              Normally the units last about 120%. Therefore, you do not need to reset the counters, otherwise you will not know how old the units really are.

                  While all that is true, I will not know how old the units are. I can tell when I have a bad drum or fuser without having a counter telling me to change it.
                  It is OK if you cannot answer the question but please use common sense when you do.
                  Previous post clearly states this unit is not having an issue at this time except the message on the display. It is a chargeable customer who is not going to dump all of that into the unit. Is there another way around getting the message off of the screen.?

                      Copiers tend to have issues when you reset the counters on wearable items.
                      Those counters are used for more than just keeping track.

                          08 mode. Set 9891 to 0. This will stop the individual PM parts from displaying a message (such as 00F6) when they hit end of life.

                          08 mode. Set 6190 to 0 to turn off the master PM counter.
                          Why does every customer think they're the first one to ever say: "you've been here so much we should get you an office, ha, ha, ha"?
