Unhappy IR 3100C flutes and crumples paper

Hi,
Can you help me with my Problem?
This Canon IR 3100C flutes and crumples paper, did you ever had this problem before and what is the remedy ?
Below there is a foto of what i mean.

The owner of the copyshop is my brother, but he is to impatient to solve this problem, so i decided to help him.

We had several Problems with the IR 3100C before.
First Poblem was a E000020-0081, i cleaned the Paper Sensor after finding the solution in internet-forums.

Then later one customer brought us some thin overhead slide to copy, that was a failure in my opinion. The overhead transparency melted in the heating roller and plugged the copier.
It was a hard work to dissassemble the copier and cleaning it from the foil

I think the crumpled paper now results of eventually damaged heated rollers or do you have another idea ?
We also have not enough money to take a technician

edit: some typo...

Hi, you have basically answered your own question. You will need to replace the fixing unit, it was probably damaged by the jammed transparency. You can replace the rollers but this is not an easy job. In my option you will need to call a trained Canon engineer, these copiers are a little high maintenance.

Hello,
because of my job as an automobile mechanican I think I´m technically experienced (the copyshop is owned by my brother)
i dismounted the fixing unit when i removed the overhead foil and in my opinion it is not so difficult to disassemble the whole unit at a calm day with enough time and making fotos during the dissassembly.
But if shit happens and anything goes wrong, this would be more expensive than only replacing the rollers... than we should better buy a unit and do well.
The counter is: ~209000

One dealer in my country (kopiererwelt.de) sells the fixing unit for 260 Euro (= 237 £ or 387 US$ ), is this a reasonable good price, or is it too expensive ?

That sounds fair. I would change the whole unit. Too many things can go wrong diassembling those but it's your decision and your time.

Talking

I agree The unit gets deformed bent and buckled. Replace the unit and you wont have any problems for 100 000 prints.

Regards

One point to mention that there is one issue where if the copier is left on or on stanby for hours at a time the lower roller gets a flat spot, this causes jams & smudging etc. Canon brought out a software update to address this issue, so even with a new fixing unit the problem could reoccur if this update has not been done.
