    Hi,

I need to modify the driver output method from the default seeting "Print" to "Store", how do I do that using the Canon Driver Configuration Tool???

This is a Canon iR C3200

Sorry if this is a very basic question but I have tried and so far I have not been successful.

What exactly are u trying to do ????? modify what driver ??

      Installation:
      1. Double-Click the [Setup.exe] file on the installation disk to start the setup Wizard.
      2. Read the software license agreement.
      3. Specify the folder where you want to install the utility.
      4. Click [Next] in the [Confirm Installation] screen.
      5. Click [Close] when the screen indicating the installation has finished.

      Uninstalling:

The Canon Driver Configuration Tool can be un-installed using Windows Add/Remove Programs from the
      Control Panel.
      • Installed Drivers continue to operate as usual.
Sorry if this is a very basic question but I have tried and so far I have not been successful.

      Sample Configurations:
      • Force Black & White Only Settings:
      1. Click on [Settings] box on the “Dialog Box Elements Display Settings” option
      2. Under the [Quality] tab disable all options by clicking on [Disable All] button then [Enable]
“Black and White” in the drop down next to the “Black and White” option.
      3. Then Click on [OK]
      • Force Duplex Only Settings:
      1. Click on [Settings] box on the “Dialog Box Elements Display Settings” option
      2. Under the [Finishing] tab disable all options by clicking on [Disable All] button then [Enable]
“2-sided Printing” in the drop down next to the “2-sided Printing” option.
      3. Then Click on [OK]
      • Force Secure Print Only Settings:
      1. Click on [Settings] box on the “Dialog Box Elements Display Settings” option
      2. Under the [Common] tab disable all options by clicking on [Disable All] button then [Enable]
“Secured Print” in the drop down next to the “Secured Print” option.
      3. Then Click on [OK]
      • Force Printing to Mailbox Only Settings:
      1. Click on [Settings] box on the “Dialog Box Elements Display Settings” option
      2. Under the [Common] tab disable all options by clicking on [Disable All] button then [Enable]
“Store” in the drop down next to the “Store” option.
      3. Then Click on [OK]

When installing a configured driver, if a message that the driver has not passed the Windows
Logo test or the driver set does not contain a signature is displayed, continue the installation.

      • Only standard driver sets produced by Canon can be used as base for configuration.
Configured drivers sets cannot be used as base.

      • If you are using the 32-bit version of this utility, obtain a 32-bit driver set. If you are using the
64-bit version of this utility, obtain a 64-bit driver set.

      • You cannot configure 64-bit drivers on 32-bit operating systems or 32-bit drivers on 64-bit
      operating systems.

      • The [Dialog Box Elements Display Settings] dialog box displays all of the items, selections, and
buttons whose display modes can be modified using this utility, regardless of printer type.
Items, selections, and buttons that are not supported by printers that have been or are to be
configured are not actually displayed even if their display mode is set to [Enabled].

      • You cannot configure the Online Help, so Help topics that are displayed when you click the
configured driver [Help] are the same as those displayed in the standard driver online help. As
a result, the Help topics for items that you have set to [Disabled] or [Hidden] remain available
      to users.

      • To update a configured driver, you must uninstall the existing configured driver, reconfigure a
new driver based on its standard driver set, and install the new driver.

        Tried that but...

        Thanks for the info teckat,

I followed your directions to force printing to mailbox but when I installed the new custom driver the output method appears grayed out with the "Print" option selected instead of Store...

I'm using the PCL5e-c_v8.62_win2k-xp-2008-vista_INF.exe base driver if that helps.

        Just did the following:

After you set it to store is there a place to tell it which mailbox you want?

and [Enable] next to the Secured Print/Store Details and Store Details
            3. Then Click on [OK]

So basically the same as teckat instructions, just enabled 2 more rows.

Thanks to all for your help, this installation was a success.
