Did you update the NS-30 firmware? It's not part of the standard combined firmware, and requires the IBVERUP utility.

It probably won't make that much of a difference though. With scan to email there are four things that absolutely must be correct:
    1) SMTP server: IP or Hostname (IP preferred)
    2) SMTP authentication: either not required, or if required then username and password.
    3) Default Sender: Sender #1 must be assigned an address on the correct domain i.e.: scanner@copytechnet.com (it's ok if there is no real valid user with that address.)
    4) set Skip Senders to ON in Email Basic. This will save a few keystrokes for the users, not having to select the sender. The #1 sender will be used as the default. In the MFP's menu they abbreviate this item, so it's a little confusing. It makes more sense in the Web Interface where it's spelled out completely. (I hope I didn't get this backwards ... )

#1 and #2 are absolutely crucial, and of course, I can't tell you what those should be.
#3 is required for scan to email.
    #4 is a convenience.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You have mist the hint in BlackCats advise: Did you update the NS-30 firmware? It's not part of the standard combined firmware, and requires the IBVERUP utility.

Its a simple utility, run it, do a search and it will find any NS30 on network, I think it works even with wrong tcp/ip settings as long as it is connected. Then just browse for the .bin file of the firmware and upload. Simples! 8/)

.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?

dear for updating the NC-30 you need to install packet driver (PDINST) then you should have IBVERUP and for sure the last firmware then when you run IBVERUP you will find any NC-30 in your network then you can update the firmware but be sure to uninstall (PDINST) after your update done
          good luck
