    AR160 toner end indication

    Dear friends,

I'm facing "toner empty" indication in AR160 even after installing new cartridge. By changing the sensor chip in the cartridge doesn't solve the pbm. Simulation mode 14,16,25-02 also didn't work out. PLEASE HELP!!!

This is a TD cart unit, correct? with the toner and dv in one cartridge?

If so, look in the process area at your toner motor shaft. It's probably broken.

There is a tech bulletin concerning this and Sharp put out a new part to take care of the problem.

bilyahn is right. This is a very common problem on the Panther. By now, most of those machines have the modified toner motor with the metal shaft (not plastic). This must be a very low volume machine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          dear friends,
thanks for your suggestions. I forgot to mention one thing. This is not a hardware related complaint. By repacing the EEPROM, its working. But is there any way to reset the EEPROM?
