Stress levels aren't too bad right now, summer holidays means it's much quieter out there so less rushing about, and in 2 weeks time I'll be in Belgium watching the Formula 1

Stress? Yep, a little. Mine comes from machines fucking with me. I have two plotters that are kicking my ass. Stress comes when you look for help on an issue and nobody else has had your issue. Oh well, there is no better training than the school of "figure it out your damn self."
A few weeks ago I had a shredder call at a records storage warehouse in SC.This shredder is a beast. It has 4 cutting cylinders. It shreds and then a conveyor takes it to a section that wraps it into bales. The call was not that bad. While there I noticed that the kill switch was broken. On this shredder there is a conveyor belt that pulls the paper into the heads. In front is a bar that hits a kill switch that cuts the machine off if you get caught and start to get pulled in. I convinced them how important it was to fix. Now the guy at the factory says the last time he changed one he had to heat a wrench with a torch and bend it to get one bolt out. When I called the customer to set a time, they ask if I would adjust the timing, something I have never done, and have no idea how to do. Looking forward to driving 2 hours to the middle of nowhere next week, and spending hours in the back of a hot old warehouse, getting further behind in my other calls.
Other stress comes from my wife's failing health. She hasn't been able to work since last year. Apparently people want money for goods and services. Who knew?The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

Ok, can see that my complaint is a drop in the sea compared to your day...I work only on Ricoh products and a few HP once in awhile and can always call in appropriate help if I can't solve the issue myself.

In the US summer is usually a quiet time. Schools are closed for another month. Churches have less activity. Like fix says, the unusual problems that noone has ever heard of ... those are always going on.
Last week I was on a roll. With some assistance I wrapped up 3 of those long term issues kicking my ass. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Thanks for the support. My manager doesn't make it easy. She wants tickets closed out quickly, and I will not do it on a problem machine unless the customer gives up. This can leave me with tickets open for a long time. I have an open call on a Phaser 7500 for about 8 months now. Part was broke and I rigged it with electrical tape. Kept it running for 8 months. Found the elusive part 2 weeks ago, now the damn thing has drum issues.
Been rather concerned about my right arm. Know how if you fall asleep on your arm for a while, when you get off of it it starts with the pins and needles thing as the blood starts to move again? Mine does that 15 to 30 or 40 times a day with the bones in the fingers hurting and the fingers numb for a few minutes. Thinking it is a pinched nerve. Been going on for about 5 or 6 months now. I picked up health insurance this year, mainly for my wife. Ironically I haven't been to the doctor about my arm because I am sure he will refer me to a specialist who will want an MRI. Can't afford the copay for either.
Sometimes I bring it on myself. Have actually talked customers out of replacing something so I can fix it. Sometimes that is a bad call on my part.
No matter how bad life can seem, I am constantly aware that things can always be worse. Even with no money in my pockets I have a house to go home to, lots of loving pets an the ac works in my home and truck. Every day I drive past people who have to work a lot harder for less money and live in homes or neighborhoods that I would rather not be in.The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Actually went to see my doctor this morning. As luck would have it, after 9 years of being open half days on Saturday, he stopped doing it 2 weeks ago. Now I will have to miss work next week. If the right arm quits on me, I'll just learn to be left handed. Like when I bought this laptop and it came with 8.1. I refused to upgrade to 10. I forced myself to learn this new OS. STRESS??? Right now I have none - I will be retired next April (FIGMO)!
Fix, I had those same symptoms a few years ago; it was a herniated disc, and a couple of epidural steroid shots took care of it. If you have to go into debt, I would still highly recommend you do that."You can't trust your eyes, if your mind is out of focus" --

I get a little ansy when I have too many calls, and no money, and late on bills, and the tax man breathing down my neck, and sick kids and wife. But really, I generally don't feel stressed. I always try to think about someone else. Right now, my brother in law. Every time I'm tempted to self-pity, I think, "Well, at least I'm not Dale. That guy's got it really bad."Comment

Life as an Indy is a tad harder. I feel for you guys. I'm on the exact same roller coaster with bills an income. The missus has the whip out over the last month which adds to the stress levels. The alziehmers comes and goes, but for some dumb reason I feel life is normal....
