Big track for me, I'm sure I could think of more but that one jumps out some great memory's of it.
i could include any old computer from zx80 and home build ones as well.

My mom has a pic of my best Christmas ever. I was 5 and dad was in Viet-Nam. It shows me sitting in one of those giant 60's chairs that look like a giant ball cut in half. I am wearing my new cowboy outfit and holding a giant candy cane. On the floor is a Major Matt Mason space ship, space crawler, space sled, a couple of those Japanese robots that moved and shot guns, and a Captain Action doll. That last item sells for over $900 in the box today.

Though we dreamed of having all the gagets on the store fronts, our parents did not want us to have too much of those as i too darn expensive and had to conserve money for rearing a family of 9.

My favorite toy was a pelet gun, if this is considered a toy. It shot live rounds and we would place a target, usually a bottle on a wall or a distance and bet on who would hit it. I was never allowed to own one as it was considered too dangerous and cause injuries.

Next up on a younger level was a tommy gun that lit up when you pressed the trigger and made nosies. when we kids played police and thives, the guys with the police car and the tommy gun would get the top positions.

double Six shooter with gun and sack and cowboy hat and with caps. loved the smell of the caps when burned. those guns were made of a kind of soft metal. the gun has a opening you would pull open and put your roll of caps in there and fire.

A double barrel cork gun. loved that to. police cars with sirens and firetrucks were top favorites with everyone when at 5 or so. boats also was on the list.

I think I got the most enjoyment from the Matchbox Cars, and the orange vinyl track that you could race the cars on. Before that ... Lincoln Logs, Legos (when there were only 4 or 5 shapes), and wooden blocks (made in dad's workshop).

I also had a truck made in dad's machine shop. It's still on the shelf at mom's house. It weighs nearly 2# and is made of 1/8" cold rolled steel. I couldn't have damaged it with a sledgehammer, but broke several other things with the truck. It looks just as good as the day it came home to me.

... My first push bike, I believe I was around 4 years old.

Throw in a model helicopter in later years. I gave it away to the little boy next door to add to his room size model railway layout his father constructed over the years.

Lego and then Matchbox model tank kits which always came with a plastic base to display the model on. I think I must have bought all of them.

My brothers and I also had Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars and some track. It was always fun to see if you could get your car to go around the loop. We even had demolition derbies with them - we'd push a couple of cars across the floor as hard as we could so that they would collide head on, and whoever's car didn't flip over won. That stopped after we found out that my Hot Wheels Rolls Royce Gray Ghost was undefeatable.
I did like putting together plastic scale models of cars and things. I probably still have the model of a NASCAR Thunderbird I put together, I think the actual car was driven by Cale Yarborough. The model most likely isn't in that good of shape any more, though.
Did you ever give your bike a nickname? I had a big heavy steel frame one speed bike with a coaster brake back in the day. I nicknamed it "Big Gray Ouch" in honor of the rash I got on my ankle thanks to it being in contact with the chain when I rode the bike down the big hill for the first time.

Once i got a chopper bicycle when i was in high school days for christmas. I got it,becuase we reared goats and to round them up i use to use foot, so my parents always knew i wanted this bike, cause it was the one every teenager wanted at that time. my parents could barely afford this, but i think i deserved it too.

Both of my favorites were kites..the 1st one in the 60's (around 7-8) was shaped like a plane (think Cessna) with wings that rotated around their axis. As the wind caught the wings, it would lift right off the ground and soar like a bird..Wish I could find it again. The 2nd kite had dual cables and it could be maneuvered to fly in any direction. These are pretty easy to find today. You could even stack multiple kites on top of each other..I saw on some NatGeo channel where they could lift you off the ground if you lost control. Emujo
