Quick question, is the mpc3002 & mpc3003 fuse the same?
Fuse?? You mean the little glass tubes with the fine wire in side that vaporises if you get it wrong?? Or FUSER, the large mechanical bit that gets hot?
Sorry, they are two distinctly different types of fuser, not interchangeable.
p.s. the Ricoh, Savin and Lanier thread would be a better place to ask.

Ah thats better! A tad more information and it all becomes clear.
Sorry, don't know if the genuine fuser detect fuses are interchangeable, I've never tried it, just used the fuse that comes in the H/R sleeve box. However when I've had to fool a copier into thinking that its had a new fuser I've manufactured my own using a 125mA fuse from a local hobby electronics supplier.
I hope that helps.

The reason I ask is we have a few 02's & 03's that keep throwing SC544, even though they have had new fuser sleeves replaced, thermopiles etc (I suspect a few of them are being pushed too hard)
So i'd like to order a few spare fuses so the engineers can reset the error by replacing the fuse not the sleeve if it doesn't need it!

There was another thread that has some suggestions for other things to use instead of the fuse Ricoh provides.
