    Hoosierdaddy printtt

Here's the thing: If you end your title in the word "Print" the thread is displayed in Printable View, which is nice if you're going to print it but not so nice if your want to respond to it, because all of the links have been removed. Noone can respond to a thread in Printable View.

So if you'd like responses, all you have to do is end your title in any other word than "print". That should be easy, since there are ~150K other words you can choose. Or you can just misspell it like I did. That would make the number of choices nearly infinite, but not quite.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Ya I noticed that. I sent him a PM; and thanks did not know that myself.

I might be wrong, but I don't think it matters where the word "print" ends up in a post's title, I'm pretty sure it works the same way when the word shows up anywhere in the title of a post. I should probably try that to be sure though.
Well, I just tried that on the test forum, it looked perfectly normal to me so I'm probably wrong. Sorry.

Apparently not, since I've posted this reply nearly a dozen times. =^..^=

New people might not know about that, I only learned about the "print problem" by watching others make that mistake back when I was just a lurker here. To people unfamiliar with the way CTN's internal mechanics work, it is kind of unique.
Still, with all the technical information already here, you'd think they would search through the threads for answers and come across the times when that happens like I did.

If you look in the HP forum, there's a thread titled "HP CLJ CM6040 Poor Copy Quality / Print Ok" that has been replied to, even though it initially showed up here in printable mode.
              It appears that if the
title just below the "Reply To Thread" button is clicked on, a thread in printable view changes to a regular thread, or at least it has for me in this session anyway.
But I'm on a computer, so I suppose that might be tough for people using their phones or something.
