The argument for decades has always been that the GOP is prejudice against blacks and young people, and have "gerrymandered" to get ahead. This is not the case. When you look back on just the past few elections (not just presidential), BOTH sides are guilty of "redistricting to gain votes".
What the dems are trying to do is get rid of laws that ensure accurate counts, and laws that make sure the person sending in an absentee ballot IS the actual person who is registered to vote (signature verification), and another major one - specifically South Carolina - that requires your social security number (TO PROVE THAT YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE, and so no one else can use your name to vote with).
As far as the Early voting hours/ place restrictions, there are laws in place that make it "against the rules" to set up an "early voting booth" outside of a DNC/GOP rally or a candidates rally and the like. This is what really irks them because they can get people to their rallies, but when it comes time to vote, they can't get those same people to get off their asses and GO VOTE!
All these "things" that they are fighting against or challenging will make it easier for them to "fudge the results" in future elections if they succeed.
I will continue to try to find the most "unbiased/ factual/ fair" sources for such information, but with the right and left wing media taking up all the bandwidth sometimes you have to do like I have, and just read through both sides, cite them both, and provide my own informed opinion.
