The latest two year budget that skyrockets Pentagon and domestic spending by at least $320 billion is laying the foundation for a major economic disaster for the future of the USA.
Perversely and counter intuitively, the spike in defence spending will not solve the military's readiness problems.
There is no shortage of pundits, politicians and military officers issuing dire warnings that the military has been pushed past the breaking point and that only an infusion of massive sums of money can fix it. The military has been stressed but the primary cause is not a lack of funding. The culprit is overuse.
Readiness has suffered becasue of 17 consecutive years of overextension on combat missions around the world- peripheral missions focussed more on spreading demicracy and nation building than with US national security
A little read gov't report found that over and above the $20 Trillion debt the USA currently has, there is more than double that hanging over citizens heads.
The FY2016 Financial Report of the United States Government reported that projected expenditures " for scheduled benefits for Social Security, Medicare and other social insurance programs over 75 years was expected to "exceed projected revenues by approx $46.6 trillion US dollars". A Forbes magazine article claims the true level of unfunded liabilities is closer to $210 trillion US dollars.
It is therefore an urgent national security imperative to address the debt. In 2010 then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Michael Mullen, correctly warned that the "most significant threat to our national security is our debt". Not China, not Russia, not North Korea, nor radical Islamic fighters, but the National debt.

Wittingly or not, President Donald Trump spent the Presidents Day weekend doing the Kremlin's work.
It may be months before Americans learn whether special counsel Robert Mueller will validate or reject allegations that Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Moscow's election meddling operation.

In the west, we don't get unbiased reporting. so I have not been informed about the past democratic scandals and scams. The concerns I am hearing are,
why we here in the west, feel that the current president is in office to change current, long standing policies that have been brought to stop corporate greed, stop business practices that have been proven to be unbenificial to the environment, being confrontational and negative to anyone asking for explanation, never fulfilling his pre-election promises, like furnishing his tax returns like everyone else would have to, telling us that if someone is aqused of something like sexual misconduct, that if the accused states that they are not guilty, it's a closed case, no need to bother with formalities like a court trial, paying off accusors is fair game.,.. It never happened.
Well, to save time, it's only the rich that can get away with this type of case. 95 percent of Americans don't have this ability.
So, I was just wondering, what are most people missing out on?
