Half of the USA and most of the world is in a historic drought. If you want to deny that man made climate change has nothing to do with it I guess you also believe the world is flat.

Oh, the earth has seen this before. Relax.

From 1950 to 1957, Texas experienced the most severe drought in recorded history. By the time the drought ended, 244 of Texas's 254 counties had been declared federal disaster areas. Drought became particularly severe in California, with some natural lakes drying up completely in 1953.

Barges make their way down the Mississippi River, past wide stretches of recently exposed riverbed where the water levels have reached historic lows in Memphis, on October 23, 2022.

He most likely didn't take that picture. He's another Canadian liberal. I wonder how many days maybe weeks he spent searching the internet to find one picture that he could use. As for historic low level, I doubt it. Recorded history of the Mississippi River Valley is only a micro second or less of its total history. And when the rain comes and the river starts to rise there will a lot less danger of flooding.

I was raised in Louisiana and lived in Mississippi for over 20 years. In both states I lived on the Mississippi river. The danger is flooding if you live there. Not drought. This river don't play.

... there is a lot of sand in this easy to find picture that you can stick you head into.

Meanwhile, because river freight going up and down the Mississippi is greatly impeded due to historic low water levels, transport prices have risen greatly for commodities like fertilizer for plants that needs to be seeded this year.

Waiting a year and hoping the water level rises is just not an option.

"The preacher man says it's the end of time
And the Mississippi River, she's a-goin' dry

Nothing government does makes any sense. But, what do they care, they will just keep on taxing you for their nonsensical programs that never have a good outcome. How many billions of our tax money has been spent on bombing, killing and maiming human beings in other countries in the name of freedom? What's a few more billion to spray the skies with chemicals to try to dim the sun. What could possibly go wrong?

“In my opinion, it’s more than 90 percent likely that within the next 20 years, some major nation wants to do this,” Parson said.
Sacca put the odds even higher.

“The odds are 100 percent that some country pursues sunlight reflection, particularly in the wake of seeing millions of their citizens die from extreme weather,” Sacca told CNBC. “The world will not stand idly by and leaders will feel compelled to take action. Our only hope is that by doing the research now, and in public, the world can collaboratively understand the upsides and best methods for any future project.”
