Re: Do you believe in medical marijuana?
It's a good thing that you don't smoke.
We'll agree to disagree on the dangers of pot use.
Finally, the evidence seems irrefutable that heavy pot smoking is just as bad on your body as heavy tobacco smoking. Smoking anything — pot or tobacco — increases the risk of coronary artery disease and also puts users at an increased risk of lung disease.
A study from Canada found that “three-quarters of marijuana users had emphysema – a lung disease which leaves sufferers struggling to breathe — compared to two-thirds of tobacco users,” the Mail wrote.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Sorry about your dad.
PS, there are many different ways to use cannabis. One doesn't have to smoke it.Comment

There are different ways to use tobacco, also. The problem is that most prefer to smoke both and both are incredibly dangerous to do so.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Do you believe in medical marijuana?
As a kid, I can remember both my mom and dad sending me into the store to get them cigarettes. Both were smokers. Eventually health warnings were posted on every pack of cigarettes. I vividly remember both of my parents saying that the warning were bullshit and would give examples of old people who were smokers their entire life. It's an example of people making themselves believe anything when they want to do something. It's a cautionary tale.
My dad died from smoking and my mother has one lung - she's 83. The toughest woman I've ever known.
EDIT: My brother and sister started smoking from a very early age and still smoke. I was into sports and that kept me from smoking and I've never smoked. Thank God.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

- For the first time, more Americans are using marijuana on a daily or near-daily basis than alcohol.
- From 1992 to 2022, the per capita rate of daily or near-daily cannabis use increased 15-fold.
- Some analysts on Wall Street think increased cannabis adoption will have an impact on the alcohol industry, with the potential for mergers and fewer beer sales.
Americans are reaching for buds more than booze.
Daily or near-daily marijuana use is now more common than similar levels of drinking in the U.S., according to 40 years of data analyzed by Carnegie Mellon Universityand reclassify marijuana, which would increase access to funding, research and investment opportunities for cannabis-related companies like Tilray, Canopy Growth and CuraleafConstellation Brands, Diageo, AB InBev and Molson CoorsComment

The cash-only setup is strange, but yeah, with federal rules still treating it differently, a lot of these shops rely on cash. That can make security a big deal, as they’re protecting cash as much as the product itself.
As for him wanting to try making edibles, I get why you'd want to keep things a bit separate at home. If he's curious about edibles, maybe he could check out delta 8 gummies. That could give him a way to try it out without having to do all the kitchen work right now.Last edited by Amaxidge; 10-22-2024, 04:51 PM.👍 1Comment
