If you are found not guilty does not mean you are innocent.

Once again, a person is always presumed innocent until proven guilty. It's not a difficult concept to understand. In fact, our entire legal system is built on this concept.


If we play this out to it's logical conclusion where Trump is concerned, he was always presumed innocent. He was never found guilty. Hell, he was never even charged. Thus he was always innocent and is still innocent.

Innocent is not a term that is normally not one of the options available to juries in a criminal trial. The 2 major options are Guilty as charged or Not Guilty as charged. So by default if a person ids found Not Guilty as charged, they have not been proven guilty and are therefore innocent. When a jury returns a verdict of Not Guilty, that is the end of it. The prosecution to appeal. The defense does. Now in the event of a mistrial, then the prosecution has the option of refiling or not.
