Unfortunately government can't force private companies to drill for oil.

I'm sure you will find something else to whine about though

The cost of drilling equipment isn't like buying a Tesla.
Then there is doing research IN the area.
Big expense not always profitable.

It is not just the cost. There is also the lead time. Most major oil companies do not do their own drilling. That is done by independent drilling companies who often do not own the drilling rigs but have to rent them from third parties and they are not setting there waiting for someone wanting to use them. Most of them are already in use or need to be brought in from other locations hundreds or even thousands of miles away, often taking days to arrive. There is also the need to get electrical power in the the drilling site. Overall it can take a couple of months just to start drilling. One study found the world's largest oil and gas fields averaged 5.5 years from discovery to first production and took 17 years of production on average to reach peak output.

So are Dan Bongino, Donald Trump Jr., Newsmax, Diamond and Silk and Mark Meadows just to mention a few. I would like to see her try to modify one of their Tweets. She would be annihilated.

Oh and I forgot to mention Elon Musk.

And then there is Kevin McCarthy. He has two Twitter accounts, his personal and @GOPLeader, both are verified. In fact I think that every politician who has a Twitter account will have one of those Blue check marks. All it means is that Twitter has verified that the person posting is not a robot. Maybe Elon should have the software changed to be a RED check mark

I set one up a couple of years ago but never was able to use it until about a month age. They would never send me a link to verify my email and complete the registration. Then Elon purchased them.
