I take it that you are calling the local NBC affiliate a liar. Because I got it from a COVID update where they explained why a number of the local vaccine sites, those that were federally backed and not locally backed are scheduled for closure. The demand for the vaccine still exists but most people are now preferring the drive through clinics being operated by Kern County at the fair grounds and the community college nursing school at the college parking lot. There also mobile clinics being set up to service the out lying agricultural communities by Clinica Sierra Vista, the healthcare provider initially created by the United Farm Workers.
