Why does freedom exist?
1. So people can make bad choices that are a potential cost to society.
2. So people can say mean things that negatively impact society.
3. So people can harm themselves, and therefore harm society.
Freedom exists as a primarily negative phenomenon.
If your actions were positive to society, if you are saying acceptable things, if you are not self-harming, then there would be no need to restrict your actions from a societal point of view.
Yet people still try to hold the contradictory views that they live in a free nation, so long as that freedom is only expressed in a select few ways and follows a select few beliefs.

I always enjoy reading your post and while I agree with you...we need to carry it a step further and look at another role of the government - protecting people.
Take freedom of speech. It is limited by the government. The common example given is that it's illegal to yell "FIRE" in a crowded theatre.
What other freedoms can be limited by the government in the name of safety for the masses?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Or have you already forgotten about him, kamala, and obama attacking Donald Trump and "the previous administration" on Saturday, while talking about UNITY?
Did you close your eyes and ears when he attacked Ron Desantis and "the stuff coming out of Florida", while he was in Shanksville, PA?
How about when he was talking with firefighters in PA and attacked Republicans as a whole, except for "a few good ones"? Did you have your fingers in your ears when he said that?
Even Former President Bush couldn't resist when he said that "Americans are the new terrorists", and compared Trump supporters to jihadists, and then tried to draw a completely ridiculous comparison between 9/11/2001, and 1/6/2021.
Not to mention all the nasty and incorrect things a good number of liberal democrats spouted, and are now being condemned for!OmertÃComment

You said "at least (biden) didn't politicize 9/11".
But he DID! Just this last Saturday 9/11/21! (i gave examples in my last post)
And following along were his vice president, two former presidents (Bush & Obama), a plethora of democrats, and the liberal media.OmertÃComment
