Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
I have begun to check out some older documentaries... found some interesting parallels...
the one below dates back to reagan but the information it relates is more timely today than in yesteryear...
it kinda tells where we have been and where we are going...
some good parallels
(the lectures below are new...)
I became interested after listening to this lecture... 15min mark to 40min mark
which caused me to want to get a clearer concept of fake economy here
and led me to want to refine the concept of hypernormalization
and then that led me to the refine my understanding of economic bubble
which was was all spurred on by learning about surveillance capitalism
older documentaries tend to package all these concepts in one go...
these days you have to put it together yourself...
I think I am going to also go read some alvin toffler... the futurist... deceased...
I think I might be able to make sense of his ideas now...
Whats the point of all this writing...
trust nothing you are told...
think for yourself
your most skeptical and conspiracy theory first idea is probably right...
in a world where everything is fluid
every day the truth they tell you changes...
you need to find something thats stable...
focus on it...
build your world around it...
and move on...
it can't be anything new...
it is going to have to be something old...
tested battleweary and tried and true...
and the one concept I have found that is such is
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
but not in that truncated form but in its full form...
(its so much more applicable today)
"Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness. When change is absolute there remains no being to improve and no direction is set for possible improvement: and when experience is not retained, as among savages, infancy is perpetual. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." george santayana

Horowitz: The CDC confirms remarkably low coronavirus death rate. Where is the media? - Conservative Review
Good news from the CDC!
After a new study, it is showing an Overall Infection Fatality Rate of 0.26%.
This is about the same number that Stanford researchers claimed a month ago.
Where’s this info from the liberal media? I’ll tell ya.....NO WHERE!! Because it would destroy their narrative.OmertÃComment

CA Doctors Say They Have Seen More Suicide Deaths Than COVID Deaths During Lockdown

The underlying mechanisms that potentially protect smokers is not clear yet.
But a theory flouted by scientists is that nicotine reduces ACE-2 receptors, which are proteins in the body the virus binds to in order to infect cells.
Dr Gaibazzi has his own theory - he speculated exposure to cigarette smoke and its chemicals reduces the body's immune system over time, measured by lower inflammatory markers.
Therefore, when smokers are infected with a virus like SARS-CoV-2, their immune system is more 'tolerant' and does not overreact. DOmertÃComment

Haven’t kicked the habit yet, and maybe I won’t....?
New study in France is finding that smokers “appear to be less likely to contract the Chinese Coronavirus, or if they do, that their symptoms are less severe”.

COVID-19 disinformation being spread by Russia, China, say experts | CBC News
Russia and China are driving an online wave of disinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic, say experts.
Some of the disinformation circulating online amounts to conspiracy theories about the origins of the virus — claims that it was invented in a lab or brought to China by U.S. soldiers, for example.
Some of it involves false reports that experts say could end up harming people — the claim that handwashing doesn't help to prevent the spread of COVID-19, for example, or that the virus doesn't affect smokers.Comment
