If it is anywhere in your system settings, you should be able to just do a search for COVID and find it. On mine, it is a notification service & can be disabled. From what I understand it uses the bluetooth service to discover & handshake with other users' bluetooth devices. The crux of the issue though, is that distance of separation cannot be determined on signal strength alone!!! So that alone makes it a "weak" implementation to rely on!!! The only other way would be triangulation through cell phone data...then you get into privacy issues!!![emoji57]

I also have it on my Note 8 and mine was off by default. The first thing I do on a new phone is I turn off everything that has to do with tracking, including location, keep BT off unless a device (speaker or headphones) needs it, keep mobile data off unless I need to check something when not near my WiFi.Read something yesterday about an android update that includes the covid tracking framework not the app itself as you can see from the screenshot, and sure enough its installed on my phone.
Mine is a Samsung S9 see if you have it in settings search for covid
Dont know how you find it in apple phones
All a bit late really considering the non essential shops opened last Monday and the UK's NHS tracking app is still not ready for use.
Was everyone else's off by default?
