According to the Times, Meadows said such a mandate would alienate Trump's strongest supporters: "The base will revolt," he said.
Meadows' comments convinced Trump to forgo a mask mandate despite polling data showing a majority of Republicans were in favor of one.

What mask mandate? Every time I see Governor Newsom trying to dictate to us what we are to do, he is not wearing one.

When the person that isn't wearing a mask is the man that created the mask mandate, I think even you can understand why folks wouldn't pay much attention to the mandate?

I understand people will use it as an excuse. What I don't understand is how anyone who claims to think for themselves would use an obvious bad example as their own choice.

The only thing you need to understand is that it's human nature not to follow a leader that doesn't practice what they preach. For example, if Governor Newson issues a lockdown order but he's caught at a party getting his grove on, I'm probably gonna take his lock down order with a grain of salt.

Clearly, you don't understand human nature. Perhaps, it would be wise to ponder this for a second. Who is the real idiot? The people who refuse to follow an order from a man that ignores his own mandate or the idiot governor who sets a bad example for his people?

The problem is that there are a bunch of idiot democrat leaders that are ignoring their own mandates. The first finger should point at them. As a leader, you simply can't ignore your own mandate and wonder why folks are doing the same. Simple logic.

There isn't one political party with a monopoly on idiots.
There is a mask mandate in my province but if I see the premier not wearing a mask it isn't going to make me not wear one.
