The schools in my area which opened at the normal start of the school year (5 months ago), have seen ZERO cases of in-school transmission.
There were a few cases with some of the teachers and a couple of students, but those were attributed to events outside of school.
We've known since last fall that kids are the least likely to catch or spread the virus, and make up the smallest amount of cases. The scientific evidence and health data have shown that there is no reason why kids shouldn't be in school.
So why are there still schools around the nation that haven't returned to normal in-person learning?? It boggles the mind! They preached about listening to the science, but now they completely ignore it! Makes no Sense!

hospitals are seeing a rising rate of mental health issues in kids as young as 5-6yrs old. It has been attributed DIRECTLY to the lack of interaction with their peers.... lock downs .
The adult community has seen a rise in suicides .. drug abuse.. and mental health issues all due to lock downs

it's a shame that this is being used as a political weapon against Trump and conservatives ....

President Biden announces purchase of 200M vaccine doses


President Joe Biden announced a series of measures on Tuesday aimed at ramping up coronavirus vaccine allocation and distribution, including the purchase of 200 million more vaccine doses and increased distribution to states by millions of doses next week.

With those additional doses, Biden said there would be enough to fully vaccinate 300 million Americans -- nearly the entire US population -- by the end of summer or early fall.

He described efforts to combat Covid-19 as a "wartime undertaking."

"We now have a national strategy to beat Covid-19. It's comprehensive. It's based on science, not politics. It's based on truth, not denial, and it is detailed," he said.

The President also took action on Tuesday to increase the weekly vaccine supply to states, tribes and territories -- upping the current 8.6 million doses to a minimum of 10 million doses weekly. Additionally, the White House will be providing three week vaccine supply look-ahead reports to states as opposed to one week look-aheads.

Biden's Covid coordinator, Jeff Zients, informed governors on a call Tuesday afternoon that Covid vaccine allocations for states would increase by around 16% starting next week.

The Biden administration believes it did not inherit a working federal coronavirus vaccine distribution plan from the Trump administration.

no you missed my point... the loss of doses was not on delivery of the product BUT rather mishandling of the product once it got to the STATE level...

SOME OF THE LOSSES were due to INTENTIONAL actions.. one report (haven't found an update) it was an employee that was a staunch Trump hater ( like some here ) that employee left out over night 750 doses of the vax.

others have left out 300-659 doses FOR THE SAME REASON! These type actions put in risk American Citizens and there are a few that are under investigation for said actions.

others just didn't follow SOP on the handling of the product.
