I did not build and maintain a Rep Power of close to 500 by posting to the political threads. I earned those by helping other techs solve problems.

As for intimidating folks, you, SalesServiceGuy and bsm2 do that multiple time a day on the political posts.

AND Slim gives ACCURATE advice, which more times than not to be the solution.

Most end users don't want to hear ' time to upgrade ' or ' you need a newer model ' TECHS are expected to FIX the damn machine, not push a new high dollar machine on them.

Look at the profiles of most of the end users here, 2nd world type countries, which don't have lots of $$$$.
Hence all the posts about crappy prints/copies due to aftermarket toners/drum.

That just isn't true. Some of the people who ask for help can be jerks and they treat them as such. Why don't you just answer their question honestly?

Let me answer the question in an honest way:


The reason I don't help out more in the tech threads is because I was away from the copier business for many years and there are techs on this site who have forgotten more about the newer copiers than I know.

I feel like a thief because I have taken so much and given so little.

Isn't copier addict a nick name that you have given to yourself? So who is the one being childish? It looks like it is you. And before you go making a fool of yourself, I did not come up with slimslob. It is what the better than everyone else crowd called me when I was growing up. Being from the part of town that believed "sticks and stones can break my bones but names will never hurt me," I just ignored them, unlike modern day liberal brats that get butt hurt. When the internet came around and many people started using handles like truckers do, I decided to use it and a couple of other names people used to call me.
